In a fateful confrontation , General Sam Houston led his ragtag army of Texian soldiers against the formidable Mexican forces under the command of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. The battle that broke out would become legendary, forever etching its name into the annals of American history: The Battle of San Jacinto.

The landscape was rough, a tangle of tangled underbrush and muddy creeks. This location, Houston's forces, outnumbered but brave, laid an ambush for the arrogant Santa Anna.
